Toowoomba store and workshop

Tradehavenglobal: Get in Touch About Your Workshop

Tradehavenglobal takes calls from workshops across Queensland and northern NSW six days a week, and a fitter usually answers the phone rather than an office.

Mon to Fri 7:30am to 5:00pm
Sat 8:00am to 12:00pm
Site visits most weekdays

Send through the details

Give us the suburb, the number of bays and roughly what you want to fit. A fitter calls back within one business day, usually the same afternoon.

Direct lines

Three ways to reach a real person

The phone is the fastest route if a hoist is down and you need an answer today. Email suits quoted work and paperwork. If you are local, walk in and look at the demo bay before you spend anything.

Store and demo bay

Ruthven Street, Toowoomba City. Two poster and bench set up so you can see the layout in the steel.

Loading access

Rear lane access for deliveries. Call ahead if you are collecting a hoist so we can have the forklift ready.

Opening hours

When someone is actually there

These are the hours the store and the office are staffed. Install crews run outside them on retail jobs, and the breakdown line forwards to a mobile after five.

Monday to Friday

7:30am to 5:00pm

Office, store and workshop all staffed. Best window to catch Marcus or Hana about stock and lead times.

Saturday

8:00am to 12:00pm

Store open for parts pickups and quick questions. No site visits booked on Saturdays unless the job is already underway.

Install windows

After hours by arrangement

Evening and weekend installs on retail sites, quoted at the normal rate when booked a fortnight ahead.

Breakdowns

Call the main number

The line forwards to a fitter's mobile after hours. Same day callback, with a site visit usually the next morning.

What happens next

Four steps from your first call

We answer a lot of calls and most of them go the same way. Knowing the sequence up front saves everyone a week of emails.

1 We ask the basics: suburb, bay count, what needs fitting. Ten minutes, no sales pitch.
2 A fitter books a site walk, usually within three working days of the call.
3 You get a drawn layout and a fixed quote, slab and switchboard included.
4 If you go ahead, the delivery window is held four weeks out and the rest follows.

Before you call

Details that make the first call shorter

You do not need any of this to phone us, but having it to hand means the first conversation usually ends with a site walk booked.

  • Rough bay dimensions

Paced out is fine. Length, width and ceiling height tell us more about what will fit than any photo of a brochure.

  • The power supply

Single phase or three phase, and roughly how old the switchboard is. That one detail changes the electrical line by thousands.

  • The floor condition

Concrete slab with no cracks is ideal. If it has been patched or poured in sections, say so early and we will look harder on the walk.

  • When you want it done

Most bays take six weeks from order to install. If you need it sooner, tell us and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.

Useful pages

Where to look while you wait

If you are still working out the scope, these pages answer most of the questions we get on the phone.

Straight answers

Things people ask before they phone

During opening hours, yes. The store is staffed and the demo bay is set up. If you want to talk through a fit-out properly, ring ahead so Marcus or Tessa is free rather than halfway under a hoist.

Regularly. Most of northern New South Wales is covered, and we have done jobs as far as Coffs Harbour. Travel is quoted at $1.20 per kilometre each way beyond the 80 kilometre Toowoomba radius, with accommodation added on multi-day work.

Phone the main number and say it is a breakdown. The line forwards after hours and a fitter will call back the same day. Have the hoist model and the symptom to hand, and if the unit is stuck up with a vehicle on it, tell us that first.

Three to five working days after the site walk for a straightforward double bay. Jobs with slab or switchboard work take a little longer because we get the sub-contract numbers in writing before quoting rather than guessing.

From the blog

Two posts worth your coffee break

Both of these come out of real jobs where the customer lost money on something avoidable. One is about budgets going sideways, the other about scan tools quietly drifting out of spec.

One last thing

If the phone rings out, leave the suburb and we will call you back

Our fitters are often under a hoist or on a roof running conduit, so the phone does not always get answered first time. Leave a message with the suburb and what the job is, and someone calls back the same day. Nobody gets left hanging on purpose.
